Located in Wokingham, this project formed part of a wider extension, with Exact brought in to design and install the kitchen. The clients wanted a space that felt fresh, practical and welcoming, with a breakfast bar for morning coffees and a lovely view out into the garden.

A Contemporary Kitchen with Natural Warmth

The overall style of the Gatfield Kitchen blends contemporary design with a subtle traditional nod. The colour palette features a new sage tone paired with natural oak, creating a calm and welcoming feel that works beautifully within the extended space.

This balance of colour and texture helps the kitchen feel modern without feeling too stark. The sage cabinetry brings softness, while the natural oak breakfast bar adds warmth and character.

Dekton Opera Worktops with Shark Nose Detailing

One of the standout features of this kitchen is the Dekton Opera worktop, chosen for both its appearance and performance.

The clients were keen to include a heat-resistant surface, making Dekton a practical choice for a busy kitchen. Its durability makes it well-suited to everyday use, while the elegant finish helps elevate the overall design.

A detail the clients particularly loved was the shark nose edge profile. This subtle feature gives the worktop a refined, premium finish and adds a clean, modern line to the kitchen.

Designed Around the Extension

As this kitchen was part of a wider extension project, careful coordination was important.
