BARRATT PROJECT

Designed to their exact specification.

The Barratt family wanted a functional, minimalist and timeless open plan-kitchen that would be practical and functional for family life. Their current kitchen lacked surface area for prepping meals and eating and felt cramped in terms of storage. The Barratt family were local and were drawn to Exact due to our end-to-end service, as we could cover everything for them from design to fit out and plumbing. 

We styled the Barratt’s kitchen with gloss white handleless contemporary units with anthracite grey worktops to offset the white. This created a perfect neutral tone throughout, which made the kitchen feel spacious and clean. 

We added an island to the centre of the kitchen, creating a nice link between the kitchen and dining areas, which functioned as extra space for meal prep as well as for storage. We built an open shelf into the island, allowing the Barratt’s to display ornamental items. We also fitted out the utility room adjacent to the kitchen, to provide a seamless transition between the rooms.

This was a challenging project as we had to carry out additional work on faulty pipework in the floor. However, our expertise enabled us to swiftly fix the problem and still complete the project to schedule.

The completed design provided the functionality required by the Barratts, as well as embodying the sleek, minimalist design they envisioned for their new spaces.
