WALL FINISHES

Your type of wall finish may depend on which type of worktop you have selected.

Upstands – available from granite, glass, elements and timber, usually combined with a plastered and then painted finish.  Behind the hob and sink a splashback can be fitted.

Painted – If the kitchen is going to have minimal use, you may not require any wall finish apart from a hard-wearing wipe-down painted wall.

Tiled – With so many tiles available for contemporary or traditional kitchens both large and small, tiles can be used to give the finishing touch of colour to the kitchen.

Glass – Splashbacks can be used with any type of worktop and are very easy to keep clean. They will look as good as new in 10 years’ time; many colours are available either to blend in with a design or to be a design statement.
